Breeding plans

We plan out all of our breeding’s in order to better the Golden Retriever breed. Our matches are carefully thought out, we strive to produce dogs that not only meet breed standard, but also have a great temperament and make amazing family dogs. We produce dogs for show, sports, therapy as well as family pets.

stormy and TBD Fall/winter 2024

We are very excited for Stormy to have her second litter. This litter will be suitable for everything you would want to do with your Golden. Hunting, Showing, Agility, Dock, you name it. They will be natural retrievers, medium in energy and drive. Willing and biddable with a great off switch. Stormy is due to be bred late fall with pups home mid Winter. We have a few spaces available for reservations.

Stormy is a favorite of everyone that meets her. She is sweet, biddable, easy to live with. Great retrieving instincts and gets along with everyone. She is medium in energy, willing to do anything you ask but has a great off switch. Stormy has full health clearances and turned 3 in December 2022.

Stormy has OFA normal eyes, OFA normal heart, OFA GOOD hips, OFA normal elbows. She is negative for all genetic diseases such as prcd-PRA, PRA1, PRA2, Ichthyosis, DM, and NCL.

Stud choices

We are currently deciding between a few stud dogs. Extensive research is being done on our choices including longevity, health, structure, temperament, titles, and genetics.

Our focus for this litter is structure and temperament. We are looking to add more bone and more coat to Stormy’s progeny.

The stud choice will depend on timing and availability and will be announced once decided.

glow and tbd spring 2025

We are hoping to have Glow’s first litter in 2025. Timing will be dependent on her cycle and our current family commitments. We are hoping to breed for show prospects, sport prospects and dogs for active pet homes.

Glow (ch cheer’s bridge of light to cedargrove ntd)

Glow is our girl from an outside breeder. Glow came to us at 8 weeks of age as a show prospect from Cheer Goldens. Glow is very confident and outgoing, willing to go anywere. She finds the joy in life no matter the situation. She thrives in the show ring and has started to compete in dock diving with DockDogs. Glow is working towards her Rally Obedience title and we are hoping to send her for training for her Hunt titles.

Glow has never met a stranger, she gets along with all dogs and adores kids. We are looking forward to seeing what she produces.

Glow is clear for all genetic testing and has OFA normal eyes and OFA normal heart. We plan to obtain her clearances on her hips and elbows this summer.

stud dog to be decided

We are currently researching options for breeding to Glow. We are looking to produce show quality puppies with confidence, drive, and great retrieving instincts. More information to follow.
