Here at Cedar Grove we believe that creating dogs that are healthy with a sound temperament is the top priority. We start with optimum nutrition and proper training.

We start their training here, before they go home! We utilize a mixture of Puppy Culture and Avidog programs to help raise our puppies. Our comprehensive program starts before breeding, follows through pregnancy, whelping, nursing, and weaning. This program addresses each developmental stage of the puppies growth, ensuring our puppies are raised to be confident, well rounded members of your family. When the puppies are 6 weeks of age we introduce crate training, as well as going outside to “potty”. Our puppies are raised in our home with children, cats and other dogs. All of this ensures your puppy will have a smooth transition to their new home.

All of our puppies are evaluated prior to going home. This evaluation helps us to choose the right match for you. We evaluate temperament through a thorough temperament test, we also evaluate their structure and movement. Some puppies are placed or kept for show/breeding prospects, some with higher drive and biddability are placed into sport or hunting homes. The majority of our puppies are placed into active pet homes.

Our adult dogs are fed Inukshuk, they are healthy and are kept in great physical shape. When the girls get close to breeding time we add in Folic Acid and increase their food as the pregnancy progresses. After whelping, our momma’s are fed as much as they want to eat. We add in calcium rich foods like yogurt, cottage cheese, raw meaty bones and make our own calcium supplement with our backyard chicken’s egg shells.

All our puppies will be registered through the Canadian Kennel Club and sold on a non-breeding agreement . They are raised on Inukshuk kibble. They will be regularly de-wormed, micro-chipped, vaccinated and inspected by a Veterinarian a few days before going home. There will be 6 weeks of free pet insurance included with your new puppy.  Each pup goes home with a booklet containing all relevant information on the history of your puppy as well as pictures, training information, and information on nutrition. In addition, we also include a suitable crate, a 5lb bag of kibble, a first aid kit, and training equipment. The cost for your puppy, including all the training and equipment is $3500.00 + HST.

Puppy Training

We include 2 training sessions with the purchase of your puppy. The first session via zoom before you pick up your puppy, and the second session a week after you bring your puppy home. You also receive lifetime support. We cover crate training, potty training, and basic obedience.

Marvelous PUPPY program - we offer a 5 week puppy course that covers all you need to know to raise a well rounded, successful puppy. This course covers potty training, crate training, obedience, tricks, socializing, leash walking, grooming, training around distractions as well as dealing with the crazy biting phase! This course is offered virtually for a cost of $200 + HST.
